Welcome to my page! I am Becky Zoglmann, The Gardening Genealogist. I grew up in England and now live in Georgia USA with my husband, 2 children and our 7 pets.
I began researching my family history when I was 17. I had always had a love for history, but was hooked when I started building my own tree. After being approached by a friend to help them with their tree, the thought popped in my head that maybe I could do this as a professional!
After completing the National Genealogical Society ‘American Genealogical Studies’ courses, I recently completed ProGen 35 – an 18 month long study course for genealogists that focuses on the book ‘Professional Genealogy’ by Elizabeth Shown Mills. I hope to start the process of becoming a Certified Genealogist within the next 2 years.
My love for the outdoors also began at a young age. I was lucky enough to grow up in the country surrounded by forests and farms. Over the years, I watched and helped my parents to grow their own vegetable patch, and the recent revelation that I am descended from many generations of farmers reignited the interest.
